Suzuki motorcycles and scooters start assembly in Nepal

Suzuki motorcycles and scooters are now being assembled in Nepal at its plant in Bindwasini Rural Municipality- 1, Parsa. Global Automobiles, Bishal Group’s subsidiary has started assembling the two-wheelers from the popular Japanese brand from January 2024.

Since the project began, the company has been assembling Suzuki’s two popular two-wheeler lineups, Burgman and Avenis 125 scooters, and Gixxer motorbike. Earlier, a team including the Suzuki India Vice-President had inspected the assembly plant in 2023. After completing all the necessary arrangements, the company started making Suzuki motorbikes and scooters in Nepal at its own plant. Now, models the company brings to Nepal can be manufactured right here. This could also mean that the two-wheelers will be more affordable.

Suzuki begins motorbike and scooter assembly in Nepal

Bishal Group registered Global Automobiles aiming to assemble Suzuki motorbikes. The venture cost the company around Rs 43 crore. The plant is expected to generate employment for 150 people.
