Eduroam Internet has been established at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu. The WiFi internet service lets subscribers enjoy the connectivity for free with a designated username and password wherever available.

Essentially, Eduroam allows internet access to universities, scientific research institutions, teachers, and students by using the username and password of their educational institution when they reach another place from the member educational institution.

As of now, Eduroam internet service is available in more than 110 countries and backed by millions of Eduroam hotspots worldwide. Currently, the service has expanded to places like libraries, museums, public places, railway stations, airports and coffee shops.

Eduroam is not an internet service provider in Nepal but a global network that provides free service to its subscribing institutions.

Eduroam free WiFi at Tribhuvan International Airport is available from over 60 access points installed inside Tribhuvan International Airport and Domestic Terminal.

With the connectivity, Eduroam users feel that Nepal has given special importance to personalities connected to scientific research and the higher education sector. When professors, scientists, and researchers visiting Nepal from abroad come to Nepal, this service will be easily accessible at the airport and the message that Nepal takes academic personalities from around the world as important will reach the world.
